The Basement

This will eventually be a post on the economy and my opinion, but for now, it is not.

Where is my winter at?  i was just thinking back about all the snow fort building snowman destroying fun i used to have as a kid this time of the year, and I’m not getting it.  Especially nowadays with a real job and alot of responsibility, i want my simple pleasures back.  I want to throw a snowball at Jess and start a snowball fight.  I want to build a Snowman. I want my 12 year old smile back, because i can.

I guess this whole getting older thing just sucks and i want my childhood back

But then again, most people say i act like a real big 12 year old so maybe i just need to tap my inner fun a bit more

*pulls out soap box*

Leave now, this could get bad.  It’s also my opinion.  Deal.

So we bailed out all these companies…..yay?

We gave the auto industry a loan…..yay?

So i realize it won’t be immediate and no turn around is that easily fixed.  I’m ok with that.  But where is my coverage?  I would think that with the wonderful internet and all this money getting cashed out, that SOMEONE would be watching these guys with a pencil and a camera to document the whole thing.  CUZ GOD KNOWS THE GOVERNMENT ISN’T!!!!!

Oh sure!! they have oversight and a committee for the auto companies, but the rest just went out.  There ya go, bye bye!

Ugh.

Ok also, and this is me entirely.  Someone said that if you took the $700BN bailout and distributed that among registered American residents it was something like 27,400 a person.  COOL!

Here is my thought, why not give it to he people rather then the companies?

Here’s just my thought process about that, your going to get 3 kinds of people in my mind

Person A is going to be the smart guy.  He is going to take the money that came into his household and pay off debts/mortgage/bills and get his ship sailing a little more right.  This is good on many levels A: this guy cleans up debt. B: the companies that he had debt with now have that money in their coffers to c: pay off the other banks insurance etc and keep life going.  To me, that solves all the problems easy enough

Now person B: is going to take all that money and sock it away in the bank JUST IN CASE.  This is now good because a: the bank has money to invest.  B: the banks can now invest that money into companies and the economy and pay bills and while not as good as person A, it is good for the economy.

Now person C is going to take the money and spend the fuck out of it.  He’s going to buy a new TV and a bose system and some DVD’s and a PS3.  Now this is NOT the best option, but it does what they originally wanted with all this money it “stimulates the economy” in a way that they wanted.  While i do not agree with this method as being as good as person A or B i also believe this person is the minority of people also.

to me, these seem like good ideas rather then just giving the money to the companies that fucked us in the first place.  Also, all the crap companies, your shamwow’s and your places that offer no value, really won;t get the money they need to survive.  you can slim down the market of companies taking up space and not adding value to anything.

Now i realize this will piss peopel off, but it is my opinion. and i knwo it’s not the best solution, but it isn;t meant to be that either.  It’s just meant to be a steppign stone to the best solution
