PHEW!!! This is going to be a long one (I think) as I have a lot to update about (if I can remember everything I want to talk about).
First thing I want to touch on is a want. I was thinking, as I was riding around on the motorcycle, how much I would LOVE a program that could interface with my brain and record my inner monologue as I drive down the road. Sure there may be some post-thought editing needed, but damn, I would blog post a lot and it would probably sound much better as it would be current thought, not remembered thought. So if anyone is working on something like this, I’ll be a test dummy.
And see, this is what is the worst part about this blog. With the lack of time between the wedding, working on the basement, and just general work, it has been over 1 hour since that last paragraph and this current paragraph. Talk about crazy huh? That’s the other trouble is now I have forgotten a bunch of what I wanted to blog about.
Ah Well.
So a few weekends ago, we went out with the biker guys out riding. What a blast that was! Basically I was out on the bike all weekend long, was sunburned, and put a few hundred miles on the bike (like about 350) so it was a good weekend. We went riding around the general area by MIS (Michigan International Speedway) and the Irish Hills area and wow, talk about gorgeous. If I could live there and have my job (distance restriction) I would be, because it was absolutely fantastic.
So July 18 th is wine bottling day. Talk about AWESOME!! the next round will be done and tons of new wine to drink and sample. Yum yum
Wine labels are DONE. I tell you, I’m LOVING Adobe Illustrator. I never used it a lot, because I was never doing publication type things, always photo editing in Photoshop. SO while the odd sizes of labels and the odd sizes for wedding invites and stuff, I jumped into Illustrator to make all my wedding stuff. LOVE IT!! The program is amazing, and not terribly hard to use, at least for basic stuff. Knowing how Photoshop works definitely helps, and I think that adds to the ease of transition for the program, which is cool.
So needless to say, between mail-merges for my labels and envelopes. Making, designing, and printing my own cards and such, I would say that this is quite the computer age wedding
Or at least the computer age wedding planning, lol.
Well, I know I had more to talk about, but damned if I can remember right now. Hopefully there will not be that long of a break between the next post and this one.
